Day -12. Finished work and should be packing......

Finally finished work on Friday - woo hoo! I'm supposed to be frantically packing up my room, but all I have achieved is making a massive mess. I'm now wondering why I shipped so many books, CD's and DVD's over here only for them to collect an inch of Aussie dust over the past year!? 

Got my tourist visa sorted now for 6 months. Didn't realise how much hassle that would be; figuring the Australian government would encourage tourism. Instead he got out the rubber gloves, gave me the third degree and pawed over my finances. Now $240 lighter, I waddled out of there with a new sticker that means I can stay in the country for another 6 months. Bam!

Anyway, the weather was super nice yesterday so I went snorkeling to try out my new camera. Went to Clovelly to see if I could find the huge male Groper, but only ended up finding the females. Was going to call it a day, but thought I'd check out Gordon's bay for Rays. Found a massive one with a span of about 1.5 metres! Swam down and took a few pics:

Jess is still working - hahaha! for the next 2 weeks while I get to be an unemployed bum. Awesome :)

Day -28. Still in Sydney, still working :(

Ok, in defiance of Jess' lame attempts to get me to sign back up with Facebook, I have started a blog of our trip.

Have a whole load of stuff to do to the van. Usual service kind of stuff, fixing a few bits and pieces and then clean the hell out of it. Every time I look at it I find more little patches of rust, which I'm keen to get on the case of, but that will have to wait as Jess has banned me from starting on it!

Final bought a solar powered shower - booya! People seem really impressed with the concept of a solar powered shower. That is, until they see a picture:
